Caroline Taylor heads to Moora and Bindoon in search of the best tasting citrus West Australia has to offer.

- Their goal was to provide WA with locally grown citrus for as many months of the year as possible without relying on imported produce.
- Moora Citrus main crop, Navels are available between May and November, these are distinguished from Midknights by the navel belly button shape on the flower end of the fruit.
- In the peak of the citrus season between June and August, Moora Citrus grows Cara Cara’s, the pink flesh navel, they are sweeter and less acidic, and the presence of lycopene gives them their bright pink colour!
