Wine in Western Australia is constantly evolving; Scott visits the Myattsfield Vineyards in the Bickley Valley where some of the state’s finest wines are being produced.

• The Bickley Valley is a small sub-region of the Perth Hills Wine Region that stretches from Chittering to Jarrahdale, the region is two to three degrees cooler than Perth.
• Established in 1997, the Myattsfield Vineyards encompasses a 40-ton winery and two vineyards.
• The region is characterized by its warm days and cool nights; Myattsfield has taken inspiration from regions in Portugal and Spain, which share similar climactic conditions.
• Myattsfield produces a wide range of wine styles from sparkling to fortified, as well as working with varieties that they grow, keeping an eye out for interesting parcels of fruit.
